Even though each agency may have its own work program and the examiners may have varying levels of expertise, there are still common findings that surface in examination after examination. It also doesn't seem to matter if the institution has 100 million or 900 million dollars in assets or if it is in a metropolitan location or a rural setting; many of the same problems appear.
While there are consistent problem areas like risk assessments, data security, and business continuity that predictably show up every year, there are also current "examination hot spots." We can't predict exactly what your examiners will focus on this year, but we can share with you the current "hot spots" that we've learned about in our conversations with regulators.
Highlights of this session:
Identifying those consistent findings, i.e.
- Enterprise-wide risk assessments
- Vendor management
- Business continuity
Overview of "hotspots" for 2010, i.e.
- Mobile banking
- Cloud computing
- ACH
Overview of how to be prepared
