Identifying Financial Statements Fraud
(Presented by Gene Bucciarelli)
Financial statements that overstate revenue and assets, and understate expenses and debt mislead investors, lenders and the public into thinking the company is performing better than it is. Recent history gives us a sad litany of public companies in which investors and creditors have lost millions. Think of World Com, Adelphi, and Enron. If you have ever wondered what the manipulation techniques are, this is the webinar for you. We will explore simple and complex techniques that will change the way you look at the financial statements provided by your customers and vendors. Some background in accounting would be helpful
