  Introduction to IRAs 2005
(Presented By: Laura Wilson)

Does the very mention of IRAs make you want to run and hide? If so, you are not alone. This program helps take the mystery out of IRAs. IRA specific terms are defined and basic concepts are explained. Knowing the basics builds confidence and helps you help your customer.

WEBINAR TIME:
11:30AM - 1:30PM PT
12:30PM - 2:30PM MT
1:30PM - 3:30PM CT
2:30PM - 4:30PM ET
Upon completion of the seminar you are able to answer the following questions.
What are the differences between a Roth and a traditional IRA?
Who can have a traditional IRA?
Who can have a Roth IRA?
What are the contribution limits?
Who can make "catch-up contributions" and what are the limits?
What is the difference between a rollover and a transfer?
When can a customer take money out of an IRA before they are 70.5
What are the rules for calculating required minimum distributions (RMDs) to participants?
What are the options available for paying out to IRA beneficiaries?
How does the financial institution report IRA activity to the IRS and the customer?

This 2 hour format allows time to cover the basics without becoming overwhelming to the IRA novice. If you have never attended an IRA seminar, this is the place to start. If you have general knowledge of IRAs, but need a shot of confidence before IRA season cranks up, this program is for you.
